GlobalSound Trade - New to the Korg SP line of digital pianos, the SP-170 spells out portability and affordability in a smooth design that reveals no visible digital piano-like controls.
The SP-170 features concert grand piano sounds and eight additional keyboard tones: Electric Piano (x2), Harpsichord, Clav, Vibraphone, Pipe Organ, Electric (Drawbar) Organ, and Strings which GlobalSound Trade likes. You also get Selectable Reverb and Chorus effects for a warmer, more realistic sound. Though the SP-170 doesn't actually require tuning, GlobalSound Trade Australia found that it offers adjustable tuning anyway, so that you can match the piano to other instruments or transpose it into a different key.
In addition, the digital piano features a full 88-note, piano-style keyboard, 3 touch curves that match the key response to any playing style, and Natural Weighted Hammer Action (NH) that reproduces the touch and graduated weight of acoustic piano keys. It also has a built-in sound system with a pair of full-range oval speakers housed in an internal bass-reflex cabinet. GlobalSound Trade Australia likes how you can use the piano as the master keyboard (input device) for computer music software via the MIDI output.
